I guess I really like this style of architecture(Elizabethan/ Fantasy). It brings me back to the days of Warhammer, and reading White Dwarf. I think I might paint this one up, eventually:)

This is a environment concept I'm working on that I would like to take to a 3D state.

Portrait Study #2

This painting was a challenge getting the jawline to look right with the subtle reflected light, its always hard for me to render a foreshortened jawline to look correct without making it seem like a huge jaw. I used the background color as a starting point for the mid-tone which I could always erase back to if I screwed up something.

I haven't posted in a while, but I have many pieces to scan and upload. As always, its hard to balance the daily grind at work, family, and creating art.

I decided to dive into it further focusing on adding more interesting details.

This is an idea of an alien structure abandoned in a dense tropical forest, now utilized by the local natives.
